Company History

Incorporated in 1989, Acroturn Industries Inc. is a second generation family business with a focus on machining the toughest of materials. Founder and CEO, Slavko Grguric, started the company with little more than determination and a dream. As a young immigrant to Canada, he spent many years learning the machining trade, honing his skills and knowledge under the leadership and guidance of his mentors. Eventually, he knew he had to branch out on his own and embrace the new emerging CNC machining technologies.

With this new technology, Acroturn was able to manufacture intricate & complicated parts for advanced industries, such as nuclear and aerospace, for domestic and international customers. Acroturn was committed to treating its customers with honesty and respect while providing excellent service and products. Integrity was, and always will be, paramount to the success of the company.

The current generation of Acroturn includes Slavko’s five sons, closely working together. A constant drive for improvement and technological advancement is key for the company’s continued growth. The company specializes in the machining of difficult and exotic materials, particularly for plastic mold injection machinery, and aerospace components.

In particular, we specialize in the machining of TZM, which is a molybdenum alloy. This material is used in high-heat applications, such as nozzle tips for plastic injection machines. We pride ourselves as one of the world’s leaders in the precision machining of this material. The material is notoriously difficult to machine, but after more than a decade experience with it, we have become world-class experts. We also work with highly specialized aerospace materials, such as titanium and hardened steel, and oil & gas mining materials, such as ToughMet ©.

Our products are delivered all over the world, from the USA and Mexico, to Europe and Japan. We constantly strive to improve our processes and technologies in order to provide our customers superb value and service.
